Hervey Bay Outrigger Canoe Club boasts a membership of appriximately 50. Hervey Bay Outrigger Canoe Club is a competitive club with members competing in Hawaii World Titles, New Zealand World Titles and are regular attendees at the prestigous Hamilton Island Cup. Hervey Bay Outrigger Canoe Club believes in nurturing juniors as the future of sport and has a fleet of racing canoes to encourage participation.
Outrigging is an open ocean racing sport that encourages fitness and competitiveness through a wide range of the community, from the ages of 10 years to 55+, with the ability to swim the only criteria. Hervey Bay Outrigger Canoe Club will nurture paddlers through their novice program and encourage participation in regattas.
