Social darts are played every Wednesday night at The Sporties, Pier Street, Urangan. Names in by 7:15 PM for a 7:30 PM start. Courtesy Bus is available. There are good prizes to be won each night and the cost to play is $4 for members, $5 for visitors. Visitors are most welcome. Membership is available for only $5 per year.
Our club has members who represent the Hervey Bay Association, Maryborough Association and Zone 5, with visits from Maryborough, Nanango, Biggenden, Scarborough, Bribie Island, Donnybrook and Redcliffe.
The Sporties Darts Invitation is held on Queen's Birthday Weekend in June each year. 116 players registered to play in the 2010 Invitational and came from Redcliffe, Caboolture, Nanango, Biggenden, Hervey Bay, Donnybrook, Torbanlea, Bribie Island and Scarborough.
The winning team was The Sporties (Poms), over Biggenden by one point. Each member who registered was presented with a commemorative shirt.
The club travels to Nanango each January to play for the Presidents Shield.
We will be playing Maryborough for the Kruger Shield in July with a return in August, and a proposed trip to Scarborough and Biggenden in the near future
