The Hervey Bay Boat Club Inc Dive Club was formed in August 1997 by a group of people with a passion for diving and wanting to enjoy the world class aquatic environment that exists in their own backyard.
We have quite a few club members who generously donate the use of their own boats for our dives. The dive club is in no way aligned with any commercial diving operation and is purely in it for the diving. Members' safety is also a consideration and additional training activities are organized through the club.
Club members have a lot of fun diving and we welcome new members to our club. The only prerequisite is a sense of humour and a passion for diving. Throughout the year the club organizes day dives, wreck dives, drift dives, twilight dives and not to be missed night dives with some "away" dives being organized by club members to great places like Musgrave and Stradbroke Islands. The club regularly organizes social events which allow the non-diving partners to participate in the club. It could be ten pin bowling, golf or something else. Barbeques are quite regular after dives.
The dive club meets on the second Tuesday night of each month at the Boat Club. Join us for drinks before the meeting or just come along to the meeting which starts at 7:30 pm.
