OBJECTS of THE CLUB
The objects of the club shall be to foster and encourage boating,fishing,social and charitable activities amongst members
MEMBERSHIP
Applicants for membership must:-
(a) Be a member of the Hervey Bay Boat Club inc
(b) Be willing to abide by all rules laid down in the constitution
(c) Complete an application form for membership of the fishing club and pay the prescribed subscription
New members are most welcome

$5.00 per annum payable before 31st August.

MEETINGS
The committee meet on the 2nd Monday of each month.
The General meetings are held tri-monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month at the Boat Club.
Fishing Club
HOME
This club is one of the largest fishing clubs in South East Queensland with a current membership of over 250 members. We boast of a junior membership of 34 who are all keen fishing people. The club is based at the Hervey Bay Boat Club, Buccaneer Avenue Urangan.
EVENTS
The club conducts both fishing and social events. Some of the social events are our cruises for charity in the waters of Hervey bay, bus trips, a Christmas party and presentation night. We donate part of our fundraising events to Cancer fund, Red Shield appeal and Fish Stocking Association. We have now taken on part sponsorship of the VMR Rescue Boat.
WEIGH-IN
The club fishing competition is conducted once a month usually the first weekend of the month with a weigh-in on the Sunday at 2pm followed by a sausage sizzle at Boat Club compound. Monthly prizes are awarded for heaviest Fish, Heaviest Bag, Most Species and Heaviest Whiting (for Juniors & Seniors.
FISHING COMPETITIONS
We conduct an inner club fishing competition with the Power Boat Squadron called THE JACK CAIN Trophy. The Salt Water intra club competition is well attended with all clubs in the district fishing.
Hervey Bay Family Fishing Competition
The club conducts a major fishing competition each year in March with approximately $40,000.00 in prizes this is a competition not to be missed, for further information on entering this competition please download the entry form and comp rules. The major sponsor for the juniors in the comp is ULTRATUNE Urangan. TackleWorld are another major sponsor and this year we will have extensive coverage from WIN TV. The boat that we give away on the Sunday is a very big draw card it is valued at approx $12,000.00. Remember you must be there to collect any prizes.
ENTRY is $30.00 for seniors and $10.00 for juniors 17 years and under.
